With the rapid progress in 5G/6G communication technology, the demand for fast transmission speed, enhanced capacity, and seamless multi-device connectivity has become significant. Herein, a facile technique to fabricate highly oriented liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) films by judiciously controlling fluorine contents and the degree of orientational order. LCPs with fluorinated additives have garnered attention due to low dielectric properties and reduced moisture absorption compared to polyimide, thereby aiming to minimize signal loss in the high-frequency band. The optimum fluorine content is determined as 2.0 wt %. Excess contents can lead to a deterioration in orientational order and decline in the dielectric properties. Additionally, the rubbing process renders uniaxially aligned molecules through nanogrooves which induce low dielectric loss due to the restricted chain motions upon polymerization. |
